Install LAMP on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

LAMP is popular open source web development platform which used to run web servers. Which is a collection of softwares and which includes Linux, Apache, MySql and PHP. Here am explaining how to install LAMP on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS using terminal.

1. Install Apache
To install Apache, run the following command on terminal.

2. Install MySQL
To install MySql, run following command on terminal.

3. Install PHP
To install PHP, run following command on terminal.

That’s it. you installed Apache, MySql and PHP on your Linux server. Now you need to restart apache

Now you can test it,

To test Apache, navigate http://localhost/ from your web browser. If you are installed it in remote server, you need to navigate your ip address or domain name for testing.

To test PHP, run the following command on terminal

Now your server is ready and running.
